INGREDIENTS

Bread slices 8 nos.
Green coriander chutney ¼ cup.
Tomato sauce 2 tbsp.
Besan 1 cup.
Red chilli powder ½ tbsp.
Baking soda ¼ tbsp.
Salt to taste.
Oil for deep frying
Water to make batter

METHOD

  1. Mix besan, red chilli powder, soda and salt add enough water to make a coating consistency batter.
  2. To prepare the bread, apply a spoon full of chutney on 1 slice of bread cover with the 2nd slice apply tomato sauce on it and cover with the 3rd slice make similar sandwiches.
  3. Halve each of the prepared sandwich dip it well in the besan batter and deep fry in hot oil on a medium flame until golden browned and crisp.
  4. Repeat for all other pieces.
  5. Serve hot with tea.
