INGREDIENTS

Chana dal 1 cup.
Onions 1 large finely chopped.
Garlic chopped ½ tbsp.
Ginger chopped ½ tbsp.
Green chillies chopped 8 - 10 nos.
Kutmeer chopped 2 tbsp.
Jeeva 1 tbsp.
Oil for deep frying.
Salt to taste.
Red chilli powder 1 tbsp.

METHOD

  1. Pick, wash and soak the chana dal in water for 2 -3 hours.
  2. Drain and grind the dal.
  3. Mix in chopped ginger, garlic, chillies, coriander, cumin, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.
  4. Take a portion of the dal flatten it slightly and deep fry in hot oil on medium flame until golden browned.
  5. Drain the dal vada on kitchen paper and serve hot with green coriander chutney.
