hot favourite dessert of all Sindhis, Khoya Dumplings in sugar syrup! |
INGREDIENTS:
FOR
THE JAMUN
Mawa : 3 cups
Sooji : 1/4 cup
Milk : 6-7 tbsp
Oil : as required for deep frying
FOR
THE SYRUP
Sugar : 2 cups
Water : 2 cups
Elaichi : 6-7 nos (powdered)
Rose water : 3-4 tbsp
Rose petals : for garnish

METHOD
- Firstly soak
the sooji in the milk, keep aside for 25-30 mins.
- Mix in this
mixture into the mawa/khoya knead it up well until well mixed.
Form it up into a smooth dough.
- Divide the
dough into equal portions (approx 12-15 nos)
- Deep fry
these Jamuns in hot oil on a medium flame until golden browne.
- In the meanwhile
prepare the sugar syrup, boil sugar, water together, add in elaichi
powder and rose water.
- Drop the
fried Jamuns into this syrup and soak for 20-30 mins.
- To serve
arrange the Mitha Jamun on a serving plate, drop rose petals on
and around the Jamuns and serve warm!
