Congratulations

Dear Ranjit,

Greetings.

Our warm thanks for your successful campaign against deletion of the word ‘Sindh’ from the national anthem.

We greet you and Ram Jawhrani for spearheading of the mass media campaign for restoration and preservation of Sindhishaan in its composite hues and colours, meanings and manifestations, through print and electronic media.

Kudos to Ram Jawhrani for co-producing and directing a documentary film depicting the great saga of socio-economic and cultural aspects of the dynamic Sindhis; their rising from pangs of unprecedented Partition and emerging out successful in various walks of Life by dint of their persevering purshartha – entrepreneurship - and faith in Jhulelal-b’eraa-paar.

Ram’s short film captures the great enterprising Sindhi spirit in its brilliant frames that reflect the success story of the community that converted five former military camps lying abandoned on the banks of river ulhas, into a vibrating satellite town of Mumbai. His 13-episode programme in Sindhi, recording the outstanding contribution of some prominent members of the community in nation building, will surely inspire the youth to follow the foot-prints of these great personalities. We hope that Ram will extend his episodes to include the great, 70+, prominent personalities of the community honoured by nation with the national ‘Padma’ awards for their outstanding achievements and contribution in the field of fine art of literature.

We look forward to your continued noble work of highlighting and promoting Sindhishaan – the glory of the great community and its culture, in short, the Sindhiyat.
